Privacy Policy

Kakubutsu Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") establishes the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") regarding the handling of user information, including personal information, in all services provided by the Company (hereinafter referred to as "Company Services").

Article 1 (Compliance with Relevant Laws, Regulations, and Guidelines, etc.)
The Company shall appropriately handle user information in compliance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, other applicable laws, and the guidelines established by the Personal Information Protection Commission and other relevant guidelines.
Article 2 (Collected User Information and Collection Methods) In this Policy, "User Information" refers to information related to user identification, behavioral history on communication services, and other data generated or accumulated in connection with users or their devices, which the Company collects based on this Policy.

Article 3 (Purpose of Use)
User information related to the provision of Company Services will be used for the following specific purposes:
1. To provide, maintain, protect, and improve Company Services, including receiving registrations for services, identity verification, user authentication, recording user settings, and calculating usage fees.
2. To analyze user browsing history and activity data, etc., and provide advertisements and information tailored to user preferences and interests, including new services.

Article 4 (Methods of Notification, Disclosure, and Acquisition of Consent, and Methods for Requesting Discontinuation of Use)

Article 5 (External Transmission of Cookie Information, etc.)
1. The Company may acquire and use user history information and user specific information (hereinafter referred to as "Cookie Information, etc.") from users of Company Services. This includes information such as cookie data and IP addresses. These types of information do not identify specific individuals and, on their own, do not constitute personal information. The Company currently uses Cookie Information, etc., for general statistical purposes to perform analysis, such as monitoring unauthorized access, improving security and service quality, and conducting research and analysis on website usage trends. This information is not used in combination with information which can identify individual users.
2. A cookie is a mechanism that stores information such as usage history and input data that is sent and received between the browser and server when a webpage is used and saved as a file on the user’s computer. When the user accesses the same page again, the page operator can use the cookie information to change the display for each user. If the user has allowed cookies to be sent and received through their browser settings, the website can obtain cookies from the user’s browser. However, in order to protect privacy, the user’s browser will only send cookies that were sent and received from that website’s server.
3. Article 6 (Provision of Information to Third Parties)
The Company will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining prior consent from the user. However, this does not apply in the following cases:
1. When the Company outsources all or part of the handling of personal information to an extent necessary to achieve the purpose of the use of such data.
2. When personal information is provided due to business succession, such as through a merger or other reasons.
3. When it is necessary to cooperate with national agencies, local public organizations, or parties commissioned by them in the performance of duties stipulated by law, and obtaining the user’s consent would hinder the execution of those duties.
4. In other cases where the provision of personal information is permitted by the law pertaining to protection of personal information (hereinafter referred to as the Act on the Protection of Personal Information), or any other laws and regulations.
Article 7 (Disclosure of Personal Information)
Upon request from a user for the disclosure of personal information in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, the Company will confirm that the request is from the actual user concerned and promptly disclose the information to the user (if the personal information does not exist, the Company will notify the user accordingly). However, this does not apply if the Company is not obligated to disclose the information under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or any other laws. Please note that a fee (1,000 yen per request) will be charged for the disclosure of personal information.
Article 8 (Correction and Suspension of Use of Personal Information)
1. If the company receives from a user a request for (1) the correction of personal information because the information is inaccurate or (2) the suspension of the use of the information based on the provisions of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, for reasons such as it being handled beyond the scope of the previously disclosed purpose of use, or being collected through fraudulent or other improper means, the Company will confirm that the request is from the actual user concerned and promptly conduct any necessary investigation. Based on the results, the Company will either correct the content of the personal information or suspend its use and notify the user of the action taken. If the Company decides not to correct or suspend use of the information, the user will be notified of this decision.
2. If a user requests the deletion of their personal information, and the Company determines that it is necessary to comply with the request, the Company will confirm that the request is from the actual user concerned and delete the information, notifying the user accordingly.
3. If the Company is not obligated to correct or suspend the use of personal information, or to delete the information under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws, the provisions of paragraphs 1 and 2 of this article will not apply.
Article 9 (Security Management Measures)
The Company will take the necessary and appropriate security management measures to prevent problems such as the leakage, loss, or corruption of personal data. Additionally, the Company will provide necessary and appropriate supervision of employees and contractors (including subcontractors, etc.) who handle personal data.
